Welcome
Trueblood is a new micro-production winery in Napa. We are focused on making tiny quantities of top quality wine. By using the best grapes, the best barrels, and putting quality first, we hope to make wine that stands out. This being said, we want people to enjoy the wine. It’s made for drinking and being enjoyed with friends and family. It’s a beverage not a trophy.
The story begins at the University of California, Davis, in the Viticulture and Enology Department. Stuart Goldie was an undergraduate; Hope Trueblood was completing her Masters degree. Love ensued, and we have been together ever since. We have also been making some great wine. Our combined work experience includes such great wineries as Stag’s Leap, Cakebread Cellars, Opus One, Neyers, Quintessa and Darioush. All of these years of winemaking go into our wines. Our focus is red wines (with a name like Trueblood what else could we do), specifically Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
